So last Saturday I decided we were done with the binkies. I sat down with the girls and told them what we were going to do. I told Riley and Alexandra that when she asked for them we should say - "They are all gone. You're a big girl and you don't need binkies anymore!" Then I had them scour the house for binkies and throw them away. I really figured we were in for a horrible week if not longer. Scarlett would throw huge fits when she couldn't find her binks. Especially if you didn't get up RIGHT then and find one for her. She was still waking up 2-3 times a night just for us to go in and give her a bink. She had NEVER EVER gone to sleep without one. She has done AMAZING! Saturday we had a bad nap time - she cried for the entire hour and a half that she was in her crib. Saturday night she fell asleep, but then woke up an hour later and cried for an hour. She finally went back to sleep. Then when she woke up in the middle of the night she kinda did ...

So after 5 years of letting someone else take care of it (or not as the case may be) I have decided to take over our yard/garden/patio. I figure if he doesn't like how I do it, then he should have done it himself. Plus I'm gonna nag him for all the stuff that I can't do (which I've really never done before) because there is no way I can climb a ladder to clean the gutters. Anyone who knows me knows I can't even stand on a step stool or a chair without absolute panic setting in. Monday we cleaned up the patio and I made Dean put all the crap in the back of the Tahoe and take it to the dump. We are finally rid of the stupid couch that ARC wouldn't take!!! Okay so first I'm going to blame someone else for me not posting, because it's mostly their fault! Our computer went CRAZY so we took it into Best Buy (since I bought the warranty) and after their "geeks" having it for 1 1/2 months we finally got it back with a new motherboard, but still doing the exact same thing. But since it was now "programming" why it wasn't working, it wasn't covered under the warranty. So since I hadn't made recovery discs and computers no longer come with them (ARGH!) we then had to wait until HP shipped me some discs so I could wipe the whole computer back to new status. I don't know what's wrong with it, but if we let it do the automatic Windows updates it goes back to crazy mode. So I had to redo it twice again and now I have the automatic updates completely shut off. So hopefully I don't ever need them.
