Busy, Busy Mommy

Well, I've been a whole crazy hectic week relatively headache free!! Thank goodness! This week was crazy and I was just praying that I would make it through without any crisis's. I had girl scouts on Monday, and we had trouble finding what I wanted for their craft, so we ended up doing something totally different. I want to work on their sewing badge next partially because one of the things they can do is sew together quilt squares and I thought it might be fun for the girls if they got to sew a quilt for the baby. Dean was so funny he told me I was just using them to get baby stuff and I replied "Yeah cuz that's just what I want a baby blanket made by 7 year olds!" But the girls are so excited all they talk about when they see me is the baby so I thought that might be something fun for them. I must say just because I'm talking about girl scout stuff - I can't wait till the cookies come in!!! It's a good thing I'm pregnant cuz I have a feeling I...

I hate headaches!!!!

Boy it has not been a good 2 weeks. Last week I suffered from a horrible migraine that I thought I would never ever have again. After Riley was born I started having migraines. Now these are not your normal my head hurts migraines. They are called hemiplegic migraines (found that out this last week) Besides the normal migraine symptoms (photophobia, nausea, visual aura, etc..), people with hemiplegic migraines experience some or all of the following: During the aura phase they may experience: The paralysis or numbing of the limbs on one side of their body (hemiplegia) Numbness, tingling. Motor weakness Speech impairment (slurring or inability to find a word) Impaired Consciousness (ranges from confusion to coma) Fever Symptoms of Meningitis In other words they mimic a stoke. Not only is it scary as heck (because of the numbness and inability to talk) once the headache starts it is the worst pain I have ever felt. I remember one time asking Dean to just shoot me in the head becaus...

Alexandra's Tools

So this week has been a week of 1st's for Alexandra.  She zipped her coat up all by herself for the 1st time this week (which is amazing because the zipper on her coat sticks and is hard to do).  Also this morning while getting ready for school she found a screwdriver and has figured out how to undo screws on her baby stroller.  She also figured out how to put them back in, but taking them out is much more fun.  So now her stroller has several "missing" pieces (not really missing, just not where they should be) and she is on the lookout for any thing else that has screws that she can take out.  I've already had to ban her from door hinges....  Yeah I didn't think this was something I was going to have to worry about with girls. Yesterday Dean and I watched a movie we got for Christmas from Nan and Pop (my grandparents).  It's called Mario's Conviction.  Now I wasn't too sure about this movie when we first got it.  But it was awesome.  It's about a ...

Why does the Holiday Break have to end?

Boy I was not ready for school to start this week.  It's amazing how quickly you can get used to sleeping in...I'm already counting down days till spring break! It was a good holiday break though.  I definitely needed the time to just relax and rest.  I'm feeling pretty good, although still bleeding, but unfortunately that's just gonna be how it is from now on I think.  I'm trying to be super good and stay down and not be up and about as much as usual.  It's hard though.  We went grocery shopping on Monday and I rode in the stupid electric wheelchairs.  I hate those things!  But after we went grocery shopping the last time and it made my bleeding a little worse, I decided to be good and use them from now on.  People give you the weirdest looks.  Believe me, if you see some healthy looking person riding around on them, it is not because they think it's fun or because they are lazy.  It is one of the most embarrassing things (to me anyway) because EVERYONE loo...
