Lakeside

Last night we took the girls to Lakeside. For those of you not in Colorado, Lakeside is an amusement park....a very old amusement park. It's really just a few steps up from the traveling amusement park rides. But it is fun and it only costs like $9 to get in. Several of the libraries here give free tickets during the summer reading programs, and we did programs at 2 different libraries. We went with family and friends and it was a great time, till I injured myself, but I will talk about that in a minute. Alexandra was so silly this time she barely rode anything at all. We had used free tickets the week before we went to Seattle and that time she would ride on a lot of the kiddie rides. Riley and Elias (her cousin) rode tons of rides together. They were inseparable . It was so cute. They were holding hands and running towards rides together. Their favorite ride which they went on like 5 times was a canoe ride. I swear it's the most boring ride in the whole park but they love it....

My Girls and their awesome new Talents

Last night before bed Riley comes over to me on the couch and tells me that she can do something new. She then proceeds to hold her nose....after a minute or so she tells me she is blowing air through her eyes (she's rubbing them as if they are in pain while telling me this). Now I have seen videos of people underwater blowing bubbles through their eyes, but never did I imagine that one of my own daughters would have a weird talent like that. Okay...maybe I did.... I hate getting up early for the 9 o'clock session, but I love having the whole rest of the day to relax and get whatever I want done. I really like the lesson we had in Relief Society today. It was from the talk "A Matter of a Few Degrees" by President Uchtdorf. One of the quotes I really liked was "The difference between h...

Welcome to my blog!

Well, after a tip from a new friend on how to start a blog and being told that I should, here I am! Although it has taken me almost all morning and part of the afternoon to get this far....I got lost making a playlist and finding a song that I could only remember 3 words of the lyrics. Thank you lyricwiki!!! If only I'd found you 3 hours ago... The girls and I just got back from visiting Radhika in Seattle which was a great time. But I'm exhausted and as I look at the half-open and half-dumped out suitcases, it only makes me more tired. Seattle was great. We went to the Space Needle (and yes I went all the way to the top and even out on the edge!!), several museums, the aquarium, and of course we had to visit a Starbucks :) I think after a couple of days though Radhika was tired of us...hehehe, she had no idea how exhausting kids can be. The girls loved it though. They had their first airplane ride (well 4 rides) and their first rides in a taxi and boat ride (we did a ...
