Stealing From A Friend

So a few days ago I was reading through my stalking list - yes I consider myself to be a stalker of peoples blogs....when I read this great post on my friend Jami's blog. I loved it and asked if I could post it on my blog and she graciously said I could! How's your GPS signal? The newest book I'm reading , "Might As Well Laugh About It Now", by Marie Osmond, is very, very good so far. I'm just a couple chapters in, and this quote stops me dead in my tracks:(Her daughter's telling her about a GPS she bought for her.) "I knew it would rock your world. It talks to you. Tells you exactly where to go. All you have to do is listen."How often to we go through life, those of us who allow ourselves to be guided by the Holy Ghost, the thing that some refer to as "the Spirit" or even our conscience, forgetting to listen? Such simple words, "All you have to do is listen", yet so powerful. How much easier would our lives be if we al...

Well I Probably Screwed Up The Baby Food Thing...

So we finally find a baby food that she will eat and I think I messed it up.... Tonight we went out to CiCi's Pizza for dinner (for the first and last time). The cinnamon rolls were not that bad, but the rest....hmmmm.....yeah...... So as I'm eating cinnamon rolls, I decide to give Scarlett a teeny, tiny bite. Yep, you guessed it - she LOVED it!! I couldn't pinch off pieces fast enough for her. And she would get mad if I tried to feed myself. It was super cute, but I think she might not ever eat baby food for me again.....I guess I'll see tomorrow!

First Word???

So today as I'm trying to do all my usual computer stuff, I'm holding Scarlett. I know that she's hungry, but I'm trying to get as much done before I have to feed her. She starts fussing, and I ignore her thinking 2 more minutes. Then she turns around and babbles "Ba Ba Ba Ba" at me. Now I know that it most likely isn't her asking for her "ba-ba" as we've called it, but maybe she was! We'll have to see if she does it again. She really has turned into quite the chatterbox the last few days. She sits and chatters baby talk all the time. Last night I was sitting with her teaching her * Who do you want to change your diaper - Da Da * Who do you want to feed you - Da Da * Who do you love - Ma Ma * Both of the other girls said Da Da before they said Ma Ma, so I'm just going with the odds and trying to work it to my advantage! This week we also found a food she will actually try to eat - Sweet Potatoes! We tried cereal (rice and o...

Christmas 2009

Image
Ah, so finally they are back in school and I have some time to blog...ok really I've just been too lazy to do it, but now I have no excuses. Christmas was great! Even if I was dealing with a sick child (more on that later). Christmas Eve we went over to Annie and Elias' for the family get together. Dean's parents came and gave the girls their presents first because there was no way we could get both bikes into the back of the Tahoe to bring home. They were very excited and I keep being asked when they can ride them. Alexandra was very happy the last time it snowed that her bike was still "safe in the house". We also got a new toaster oven, which we needed desperately - the old one smoked when you used it.... It was a great time being with all the kids and seeing them have fun playing together. When we got home the girls got to open their Christmas Eve presents - pajamas and this year they got Zums too (Webkinz). And yes Alexandra's pj's are Pokemo...
