Well I Probably Screwed Up The Baby Food Thing...

So we finally find a baby food that she will eat and I think I messed it up....

Tonight we went out to CiCi's Pizza for dinner (for the first and last time). The cinnamon rolls were not that bad, but the rest....hmmmm.....yeah......

So as I'm eating cinnamon rolls, I decide to give Scarlett a teeny, tiny bite. Yep, you guessed it - she LOVED it!! I couldn't pinch off pieces fast enough for her. And she would get mad if I tried to feed myself. It was super cute, but I think she might not ever eat baby food for me again.....I guess I'll see tomorrow!

    Well, frankly, I don't blame her! Those cinnamon rolls ARE yummy! Just don't give her that mac and cheese pizza or she might never eat anything else ever again! :)

    I so miss Cici's! Anyway. Quin's pretty much over baby food. He's at the point where, even if I give him something on his tray from my plate, he won't eat it unless he watches me scoop it from my plate and plant it directly in his mouth. The turd. lol

Our Newest Addition!

Scarlett has arrived!!!!! She was born on Monday, June 1st at 5:06pm. Making her exactly 6 weeks early. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. She is doing SOOOOO good!!! She continues to surprise everyone in the NICU. We're not sure how long she's going to be in there, but they are not ready to release me yet either so, we're both making the hospital our new home for a bit. Everyone seems really impressed with all that she's able to do. She is not on any machines and is doing great with her breathing and keeping her own temperature. She is VERY red though.....so living up to her name! Her red blood cell count was in the 60's when she was born, so we've been anticipating her needing to go under the billirubin lights, which they just started. A Year of Horrible

I have debated writing/telling people about this because it's not completely my story, but then again, it is, because I'm living through it as the mom.  So as a friend and/or family member reading this, please remember that I'm entrusting you with sensitive thoughts.  And yes I know this is also on the internet, so anyone could read it as well.  But I also know that I needed a place to write all of this down and get it recorded.  It will help me as I sort though all we are going through and it could possibly help others. My Irrational Fears

Now maybe this is normal, but since I'm not really sure what a "normal" pregnancy should be I have no idea. But lately I have worries about everything. Mostly it has to do with the baby being born healthy. When I told Dean about them the other night, he was like "Wow, I had no idea you had that much that you were worried about". So here's my list. #1 - Driving in the car. It scares me to death now. I really have no reason for it to scare me since I have never had a car accident. But every time I'm behind the wheel all I can think about is what if someone hits me. I'm wearing a seat belt and that could hurt the baby. If the airbag goes off, that could hurt the baby. Let alone if it's a really bad accident.... #2 - I can't open any of the stuff we've bought for the baby. And this is so unlike me, I love to open stuff and put it together.
