3 months old!

I can't believe it's been 3 months already!! Boy time flies by!

Sunday I decided she needed a bow! Unfortunately my little baldy (compared to the other two) has nothing with which I can attach hair accessories. So I improvised (with a little Caro Syrup)!


She's getting stronger with her grip so we got some of her toys off her floor mat to see how she would do holding them, and of course I had to take some videos!



Friday was Alexandra's teacher's birthday. So we had the whole class wear party hats and give her flowers on the way into class. They also got to have cupcakes too!

    The videos have as much Alexandra as Scarlett! I was thinking that you must have done the 3rd one while Alexandra was at school. But she managed to get into that one, too.

    I've been home sick for days, feeling sorry for myself. So I look at the blogs and what do I see? The perfect pick me up! I love the look of surprise on Scarlett's face! And of course my favorite camera ham! That doesn't sound so nice though, shall I call her a posing enthusiast? Thank you for the smile that seeing these pics and videos have given me!

    It is fun to hear how everything is going. I love the idea of each child giving the teacher a flower on her birthday!

    The good news is when her hair does come in, it will be the envy of all the other girls!!! She is so cute.

Our Newest Addition!

Scarlett has arrived!!!!! She was born on Monday, June 1st at 5:06pm. Making her exactly 6 weeks early. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. She is doing SOOOOO good!!! She continues to surprise everyone in the NICU. We're not sure how long she's going to be in there, but they are not ready to release me yet either so, we're both making the hospital our new home for a bit. Everyone seems really impressed with all that she's able to do. She is not on any machines and is doing great with her breathing and keeping her own temperature. She is VERY red though.....so living up to her name! Her red blood cell count was in the 60's when she was born, so we've been anticipating her needing to go under the billirubin lights, which they just started. A Year of Horrible

I have debated writing/telling people about this because it's not completely my story, but then again, it is, because I'm living through it as the mom.  So as a friend and/or family member reading this, please remember that I'm entrusting you with sensitive thoughts.  And yes I know this is also on the internet, so anyone could read it as well.  But I also know that I needed a place to write all of this down and get it recorded.  It will help me as I sort though all we are going through and it could possibly help others. My Irrational Fears

Now maybe this is normal, but since I'm not really sure what a "normal" pregnancy should be I have no idea. But lately I have worries about everything. Mostly it has to do with the baby being born healthy. When I told Dean about them the other night, he was like "Wow, I had no idea you had that much that you were worried about". So here's my list. #1 - Driving in the car. It scares me to death now. I really have no reason for it to scare me since I have never had a car accident. But every time I'm behind the wheel all I can think about is what if someone hits me. I'm wearing a seat belt and that could hurt the baby. If the airbag goes off, that could hurt the baby. Let alone if it's a really bad accident.... #2 - I can't open any of the stuff we've bought for the baby. And this is so unlike me, I love to open stuff and put it together.
