Bouncing Zebra

This is her new favorite toy!


Thanks to one of my VT for giving it to me! She loves it so much! She has learned how to get off and on all by herself. I tried to get a video of that, but she wouldn't get off last night while I had the camera out. (Also on a side note about the video - she loves the girls Aquafresh toothpaste. So if it gets left on the counter where she can reach it, she tries to eat it. Hence the toothpaste on her chin.)

Another phrase she is saying is good girl "gud grrr"! And she is learning to go down stairs - which is hilarious to watch. She lays down on the floor (a few steps away from the stairs) and then pushes herself backwards on the floor till she reaches the steps. Yay for arm muscles!!!

    How cute is this?! I love the tongue action, she does love the toothpaste!! Very cute, I am amazed though that Alexandra didn't make an appearance =]

    Alexandra may not have been in the video, but her presence was singing.

    So, I hit the button on the top of my screen that says "next blog" and here I am! Thought I would see who is next to me in blog world. Maybe we can start a blog wave or something, and you can visit the person after you. Anyway, you seem like a cool person. Blog on!

Our Newest Addition!

Scarlett has arrived!!!!! She was born on Monday, June 1st at 5:06pm. Making her exactly 6 weeks early. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. She is doing SOOOOO good!!! She continues to surprise everyone in the NICU. We're not sure how long she's going to be in there, but they are not ready to release me yet either so, we're both making the hospital our new home for a bit. Everyone seems really impressed with all that she's able to do. She is not on any machines and is doing great with her breathing and keeping her own temperature. A Year of Horrible

I have debated writing/telling people about this because it's not completely my story, but then again, it is, because I'm living through it as the mom.  So as a friend and/or family member reading this, please remember that I'm entrusting you with sensitive thoughts.  And yes I know this is also on the internet, so anyone could read it as well.  But I also know that I needed a place to write all of this down and get it recorded.  It will help me as I sort though all we are going through and it could possibly help others. My Irrational Fears

Now maybe this is normal, but since I'm not really sure what a "normal" pregnancy should be I have no idea. But lately I have worries about everything. Mostly it has to do with the baby being born healthy. When I told Dean about them the other night, he was like "Wow, I had no idea you had that much that you were worried about". So here's my list. #1 - Driving in the car. It scares me to death now. I really have no reason for it to scare me since I have never had a car accident. But every time I'm behind the wheel all I can think about is what if someone hits me. I'm wearing a seat belt and that could hurt the baby. If the airbag goes off, that could hurt the baby. Let alone if it's a really bad accident.... #2 - I can't open any of the stuff we've bought for the baby. And this is so unlike me, I love to open stuff and put it together. But this time all I can think of is I can't open it, what if something happens to the baby. We can...
