Joy School Graduation

Saturday was Joy School Graduation! It was so cute, a little windy (ok a lot!), but a fun time for the kids anyway. I was bad and went instead of being good and staying down, but hey it's a once in a lifetime event! Plus Mom took the girls afterward so I could be good for the rest of the day.


This is the only time her hat would stay on....granted she kept messing with it and that's why



I have a video of them singing to post, but for some reason it just won't load, so I will try again on a new post and see if it will work.
They even had graduation cupcakes!


Then they got to play on the playground for a while.



When we got home I had Mom take a "Belly Pic". This is the biggest I've ever been!! And I still officially have 7 weeks to go! ARGH!! I know they say that you get bigger each time, but seriously I feel like I've shoved a basketball under my shirt. One of the good things about being tall, is that usually when your pregnant there is a lot of room for the baby so you don't show as much...apparently that is not true this time. I don't have any belly pics from the others (didn't want any pics in hospital gowns or of me laying on the couch), so I can't show proof of how much bigger I am this time, but I've never had my belly button stick out and it is now. Plus I've always been able to see my feet (they are size 12 after all) and I cannot see them at all this time! The girls keep telling me how "HUGE" the baby is! It's a good thing I know that it will all go away after the baby is born (and some exercise) otherwise I might be feeling bad to hear how "huge" I am!

Scarlett has arrived!!!!! She was born on Monday, June 1st at 5:06pm. Making her exactly 6 weeks early. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. She is doing SOOOOO good!!! She continues to surprise everyone in the NICU. We're not sure how long she's going to be in there, but they are not ready to release me yet either so, we're both making the hospital our new home for a bit. Everyone seems really impressed with all that she's able to do. She is not on any machines and is doing great with her breathing and keeping her own temperature. A Year of Horrible

I have debated writing/telling people about this because it's not completely my story, but then again, it is, because I'm living through it as the mom.  So as a friend and/or family member reading this, please remember that I'm entrusting you with sensitive thoughts.  And yes I know this is also on the internet, so anyone could read it as well.  But I also know that I needed a place to write all of this down and get it recorded.  It will help me as I sort though all we are going through and it could possibly help others. My Irrational Fears

Now maybe this is normal, but since I'm not really sure what a "normal" pregnancy should be I have no idea. But lately I have worries about everything. Mostly it has to do with the baby being born healthy. When I told Dean about them the other night, he was like "Wow, I had no idea you had that much that you were worried about". So here's my list. #1 - Driving in the car. It scares me to death now. I really have no reason for it to scare me since I have never had a car accident. But every time I'm behind the wheel all I can think about is what if someone hits me. I'm wearing a seat belt and that could hurt the baby. If the airbag goes off, that could hurt the baby. Let alone if it's a really bad accident.... #2 - I can't open any of the stuff we've bought for the baby. And this is so unlike me, I love to open stuff and put it together.
