Easter

The Saturday before Easter the girls dyed Easter eggs.

Alexandra drew on every single egg! Which is huge for her, since usually when she draws she ends up crying because it's not as good as Riley's. She made an egg with every one's picture. When she did mine she told me "Hold still, I need to look at your face!" Then she did an egg with all of us on it (including the baby!) It was so stinking cute! I tried to take pictures of her eggs, but they just wouldn't turn out. The crayon markings were too faint so the camera wouldn't focus on them.

This year it was kinda funny, Riley would copy Alexandra (usually it's the other way around). When Alexandra did a family egg, the next egg Riley did was a family egg. This happened several times.

They had a great time and surprisingly no messes were made!! Yeah for them getting bigger and being able to do it on their own (mostly)!
That night I picked out two of Riley's eggs to eat and when Alexandra saw me she got so upset!! She asked me what I was doing and when I replied eating some of Riley's eggs she was relieved that they were not her eggs. But then I told her that I would eat her eggs too, which made her cry. Apparently I just don't appreciate all the hard work, I just crack it into a million pieces! Yummy!
We didn't do too much for Easter this year, just had dinner with my family. They came over and fixed it all while we were at church. We had ham, asparagus, potato salad (my mom's homemade - yummy!), and mashed potatoes!! Yes, we had both potato salad and mashed potatoes. I love making ham gravy for the potatoes and I REALLY wanted potato salad, so pregnancy cravings won! Everyone thought I was crazy, but I noticed that everyone still ate both of them....Then we had strawberry shortcake for dessert! It was a very yummy day for me!
