Catching Up

So the next few post are me getting caught up. We had a very busy weekend.

We're doing very good. Although trying to figure out how to manage my time is getting to be quite the challenge. Riley and Alexandra are going through Mommy withdrawal, and trying to get everything done in between feedings and still finding time to do individual things with them is harder than I thought. But hopefully as Scarlett gets better with eating and naps those will get easier to manage.

Scarlett is doing good. I've been meaning to step on the scale with her, but I keep forgetting when she's up. Although we go in next Wednesday for her and Alexandra's appointments (ewwwww - shots for both of them) so I'll know how much she weighs then. I'm hoping they take her off of the preemie formula. I would really like to be able to buy the generic kind at Sams and save me tons of money!!!!! Unfortunately there is no generic for the preemie kind.... But I'm also hoping that she can tolerate the generic kind too, but even buying name brand will be cheaper at Sams then buying the preemie kind. She is quite the spitter-upper. We've found that we have to take the bottle away about every ounce and burp her. Otherwise it all comes back up, and believe me that is not fun! She's getting so that smiles are more frequent, and today I even got one when I told her "Hi" after one of her naps (they're usually completely random). She is also getting stronger. I wish we could do tummy time more, but my spitter-upper is not going for it...actually I'm tired of cleaning things, so I'm the one whose nixed it until she's better about the spitting up. She still won't sleep on her bed. She has to be at an incline. So either swing or bouncer for her. We're trying to save the swing for night though, cuz she sleeps the best in there. She is doing awesome at night though! She's been going down sometime between 9 and 10 and then up sometime between 2-4 and then up again at about 7. Dean's been taking the middle shift (mostly cuz he's up playing on the computer until then or getting home from work right about then) so I'm getting almost a full nights sleep on some nights. But she makes up for it during the day. Her naps are so random and sometimes are only like 20 mins long, hence why I'm having trouble getting stuff done during the day.

And here are some random pictures.

There's that dimple!!! Pop took this picture and captured the first dimple picture!

Alexandra was holding her and she was hungry so she was trying to eat her face!

"It feels yucky!"

Another dimple picture!!!

Ahhh! They love each other!

  1. I wanted to tell you - I know all babies are different, but naps DO get better. I know you know that, but sometimes it's nice to hear reassurances from a real lifer vs. a book. (dumb books, anyway - lol!) If my Quin could finally get on a descent nap schedule, any baby could. :)
