Doctor's Appointments
Wednesday both Alexandra and Scarlett had their well-baby/kid check-ups. They are both doing great and the little things I was worried about are either normal or can be fixed, so no big deal!!
Scarlett was 11 lbs 13.4 oz and 22.75" long. She is in the 64th% for her weight and the 51th% for her height. It was so odd for me to hear that she was in the 50-60's, both Riley and Alexandra were always 98th% (one time Alexandra even was off the chart!) Her spitting up is normal and the doctor told me to keep doing the things I'm already doing. Which made me feel good! It's always nice to have a doctor tell you that you are doing the right things as a mom! We are still keeping her on the 24 calorie formula mixture, but I do get to switch from the Neosure to whatever formula I want!!! So cheaper for my budget!!! Her doctor was very impressed by how much she's growing and just wants to keep her going that way, versus letting her have regular formula and risking her losing weight.
Alexandra was 42 lbs and 45" tall. They checked her vision and it looks good so far (she doesn't have the greatest genetics - so eventually she'll need glasses). They had me fill out this 4 page development questionnaire on her. And everything she could do, but getting her to do them was another story. I was supposed to have her repeat sentences and she didn't want to at all. One of the sentences was "Jane hid her shoes for Maria to find". The only time I got Alexandra to cooperate she said "James hid his boots...." The other stuff was like hop on one foot, skip, count, write her name, draw shapes and a person. She would cooperate with those sort of, but it was frustrating for me.
They both got shots. 3 for Scarlett and 4 for Alexandra. Scarlett also got an oral vaccine too, so really they both got 4, but she only got stuck 3 times. Alexandra was very good and the nurse let her pick tons of stickers. And Alexandra put the stickers on Scarlett, which was very cute!
